Why Go Solar?

Many organisations are Going Solar, but if They were Jumping off a cliff would you do that too?

If you are going to go solar, these are some of the reasons why.

Piggy Bank

Dollars and Cents.

Yes, they all add up. Even if you are going solar for environmental or social reasons, eventually your inner or actual accountant is going to have their say.

Given the nature of energy buyback and various tariffs, the financial benefits can vary greatly between organisations. You can end up looking at figures, spot values, consumption trends, tariffs , seasonal variations etc. until you're blue in the face. Fortunately we can do this for you, and we don't go blue in the face.

A Green Statement.

We're not going to start another climate debate, however there's no debating that you can save tonnes of CO2 emissions by creating your own clean energy. To give you an idea, a 30 kW solar PV system can produce around 50 MWh of energy in a year, which in Western Australia equates to a saving of just over 40 tonnes per year. Obviously this alone won't fix our environment problems, but it's a very good place to start.

Although this won't put any dollars in your back pocket directly, it is nice to know you are making a positive contribution - one that many other people will appreciate.

This document will help you do the calculations.

Lock in Energy Prices.

Unlike power from an energy retailer, when you purchase a renewable energy system, the cost per unit of energy is not going to increase over time. This gives you back some control and security over the energy section in your operating costs, while many organisations will be worried about increases.

Customers are conscious.

Studies are showing that consumers are more likely to purchase products from organisations that are doing the right thing. Social media is also giving consumers everything they want to know about these companies. If you're not convinced, Google your company and check out some forums!

Sure, customers are not expecting organisations to do things that aren't feasible, but solar for many organisations is no longer in that category.
