dESCRIPTION

When the City of Wanneroo embarked on a strategy to mitigate the rising energy bills at a number of their high energy-consuming public facilities such as the libraries and swimming complexes, they chose PV solar as the renewable energy technology of choice. A major consideration for choosing this technology was the solar PV panels could be installed relatively quickly and provide immediate savings.

An important consideration requested by the Aquamotion Centre management was that, during installation, there would be a minimum of disruption to client services as the center is open during daylight hours, seven days a week.

Accordingly the Next Power engineering team commenced installation at first light before the center opened and installed the entire 30kW installation over one weekend with a minimum of disturbance to the center's operation.
